I spent three years as a freelance operations consultant before I started turning my internal systems into products people could buy. The Second Brain OS started as a personal Notion setup I kept rebuilding for myself — I only published it because five different clients asked for a copy.

Everything I make follows one rule: it has to be something I'd actually use, not something that just looks good in a launch thread. That's also why my newsletter gets more replies than most people's — I write like I'm talking to one person, not an audience.

These days it's roughly half building new products, half writing, and a growing amount of time just answering customer emails — which I still do myself.
