01 — Distance Series
Most of my work starts with a place I've already left. I paint from memory more than reference — the color of a room gets simpler and truer the longer it sits in my head, and that's usually when I know I'm ready to start.
Ten years in, my work has moved between galleries and private commissions, mostly interiors and coastal studies exploring the emotional residue of places rather than their likeness.
A twelve-piece solo show exploring memory and place — the largest body of work I've shown to date.
Featured in five group shows alongside emerging South Asian painters, including a juried regional showcase.
Built a private commission practice while developing the visual language that later became the Distance series.
